Ever since Benny Royal started out producing music, a growing audience has been enjoying the standou t sounds created by this artist. Dance floors around the world are now resounding with his rich-sou nding productions and remixes, plus energizing and catchy DJ sets. What underpins his success are his affection for dance music and his no-nonsense attitude, says Benny.
Benny Royal – born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1980 as Ben Bakker – was inspired by dance music at a very early age. He started deejaying in some local clubs. After a few years, he began producing dance tracks. It did not take long before "Keep on Moving" – released by DJ Madskillz’ leading record label Azucar (Masal) – became a hit in the Netherlands. This was followed by another successful track, "Dance Electric", produced with Ludaphunk. This track was picked up by none other than Grammy award-winning s uperstar DJ Roger Sanchez, who tirelessly promoted this record on his radio show Release Yourself. On top of that, "Dance Electric" also found its way into Roger Sanchez’ Release Yourself mix album, produced by Stealth Records in the US.
Early 2007, Benny’s career was really taking off. After working on a remix for Bas Kunnen’s track "Back da Funk", his producing skills gained much more recognition. Benny’s productions and remixes are currently turning up in leading dance charts and are available on many download portals.
Besides creating popular productions and remixes, Benny also knows how to work the dance floors using his infectious DJ sets. Thanks to Benny’s rising popularity, he is becoming something of a fixture at major clubs and festivals such as Latin Village and Loveparade.
